Chief Executive Officer
Susan Johnson serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Danny Kendall Johnson Foundation, providing strategic leadership and oversight for the organization’s programs, partnerships, and long-term vision. She is an accomplished systems and software engineer with more than 30 years of experience supporting the United States Department of Defense.
Susan began her federal career as a computer programmer with the U.S. Geological Survey before completing a Product and Production Engineering Internship Program that launched a distinguished DoD career. Throughout her career, she has held numerous technical and leadership positions in production engineering, configuration management, software management, software quality assurance, software process engineering, and contract oversight.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from The University of Alabama and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Naval Postgraduate School. Susan is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and serves as an Advisory Board Member for Mothers Against Drunk Driving in Georgia and Alabama.
